Slava - As Long As You Love Me
Just discovered New York based Electronic Producer Slava not too long ago - saw him perform at the Empty Bottle here in Chicago. I was impressed by his track selection and high energy, safe to say I was dancing the entire time.
I was surprised by this track because it’s obvi a Justin Bieber sample but it works and I can get down to it regardless.

DJ Mentos - Yesterday’s Gone (Instrumental)
Found this song via Hypem the other day and played it that day on my radio show. Such a great intro, sample and tune. ‘Yesterday’s Gone’ is mellow and inspiring, reminds me of Pretty Lights’ “Finally Moving”
This track is from The Barrelhouse LP featuring Swerve and Co$$, 3 more tracks from NYC based Beatmaker/Producer/DJ are featured on this project. Download The Barrelhouse LP for free HERE.

Wild Belle marks their first official collaboration, finding their sound rooted on a tropical island where rocksteady rhythms, disco beats and soulful grooves shine down steadfast and abundant. RIP Heavy D (May 24, 1967 – November 8, 2011)
Dwight Arrington Myers was laid to rest a a private funeral held in Mount Vernon, just north of New York - famous friends such as Diddy and Rev. Al Sharpton spoke at his funeral.
“Though Hev will most notably be remembered for his work both behind-the-scenes and in the forefront, he will always be remembered by us as a generous soul who remained humble and unselfish till his final days,” the family said in a statement.
In honor of the late rapper, his family launched the “Heavy D and Xea Myers Fund” named after Heavy D and his 11 year old daughter.
Among those also devastated by his death, Mary J. Blige acknowledged the rapper as “an angel and protector.” Ms. Blige started her career on Uptown Records, the label on which Heavy D released most of his music through and over time, became president. She continued, “He was one of the people in my life who always had something inspiring and encouraging to say.”
