This is still awesome.
Route 94 - Forget The Girl
No clue how this precious house gem of a song fell into my life but I premiered it on my radio show this past Tuesday. Listeners wrote in asking specifically about this track.
It’s still a mystery as to who the producer is. Both Skream and Benga have hinted that it’s a well-known producer under a new house-leaning alias then based on Route 94’s Twitter they just want you to enjoy the music, not to get your panties in a bunch with who makes it.
Who would be your guess? My money is on Redlight or MJ Cole.

Ain’t that some shit.
Wishful dreamer..
Wish I lived in LA solely based on the fact that I’d love to intern for Music Supervisor (of Entourage, How To Make It In America, 90210) - Scott Vener aka Broke Mogul. Recently, he went on Twitter to announce he was looking for interns, strictly in the LA area.
M.I.A. stormed the Twitter world to announce that she’s coming back with a new single “Bad Girlz” and music video. Set to debut January 30, at 2:30pm RST and the next day it will be available on iTunes. Recorded in Miami and originally the song was included on her 2010 mixtape, Vicki Leekx.
Mark your calendars, February 3rd 2012, M.I.A. will join Madonna during her halftime performance at the Super Bowl. Together they will perform Madonna’s “Gimme All Your Luvin’,” also featuring Nicki Minaj.
My friend Michael Franco is currently on Hypem, help him top the charts!

St. Louis based hip hop instrumentalist/guitarist Michael Franco released The Divine Paradox back in November 2011. And now he is gaining more listeners after being featured on Earmilk.com and touring with his fellow classmate, G-Eazy.
Franco’s self proclaimed bio reads;
“Raised in St. Louis. Educated in New Orleans. I’m a music head. Been playin guitar since ‘03, producing since ‘09 and listening since ‘89.This is what I do. You might know me from a number of places. Perhaps you knew me from The Grove. Maybe I came to your city on one of the two country-wide tours I’ve been on as a guitarist. Maybe you found my music on the blogs.
Either way, here we are. Enjoy.”
Very modest and laid back just like his music. Fantastic samples, beats and drums that snap, Michael Franco has certainly mastered his craft and continues to grow as musician.

TV Girl - Baby You Were There
This Indie lo-fi Pop San Diego duo are going to be absolutely huge and I’m suggesting you become a Fan now. If The OC was still on-air, there is no doubt in my mind that these guys would’ve been featured/booked as one of the bands playing at The Bait Shop. I first discovered TV Girl from Hypem with their song “If You Want It” and it’s been love ever since.
“Baby You Were There” comes off their July 2011 EP, Benny And The Jetts
